Smith Statement Added to Website

I have added the statement that William Smith provided to Inspector Frederick Abberline to the “Documents” section of the website.  Smith was William Bury’s landlord in London during the period of the “canonical five” Ripper murders.

Haynes Statement Added to Website

I have added the statement that Elizabeth Haynes provided to Inspector Frederick Abberline to the “Documents” section of the website.  Haynes was William Bury’s landlord in London shortly before and shortly after his wedding.    

Bury’s DNA Profile Obtained

According to a report in the June 2021 issue of Whitechapel Society Journal, William Bury’s DNA profile has been obtained (1).  Bury was executed in 1889, and prior to his burial, cervical vertebrae were removed from his body.
